Senate Bill 375 allows for Nevada tribes to legally discuss cannabis regulation guidelines with the Governor’s office, saving a tremendous amount of time and bureaucratic red tape. ATLANTA (AP) — Sixteen postal workers in Atlanta and the surrounding area accepted bribes to deliver packages of cocaine, federal prosecutors said Wednesday. In exchange for bribery payments, the postal workers provided special addresses on their routes where the drugs could be shipped and then intercepted the packages and delivered them to a person they believed was a drug trafficker using the postal system to ship multiple kilograms of cocaine at a time into the area, U.S. Attorney John Horn said. The Cumberland Times-News reports that one of three owners of the Allegany Medical Marijuana Dispensary recently gave the newspaper an update on his business. Sajal Roy says the dispensary has faced delays due to a lack of approved marijuana growers with available product. He also says he found he needed additional upgrades at the dispensary facility. DURHAM, Calif. (AP) — Northern California authorities have shot and killed an illegal marijuana grower they say confronted sheriff’s deputies with a gun. The Butte County Sheriff’s Office says 56-year-old Mark Jensen died Tuesday night in the community of Durham. Authorities say code enforcement officers approached Jensen at his home on Monday and told him he was violating the county’s marijuana cultivation law. The enraged grower began making threatening calls to police and code-enforcement officers, who got a warrant to arrest him. Read the full article
